Just one thing after another?

A random date is chosen by members, by rotation, which forms the basis of a limited period of research, e.g. 1800 would invite topics essentially 1790 to 1810.

Topic subjects and research is exchanged by email, in advance of a meeting. At the meeting, each member briefly re-presents their subject, which is then discussed amongst the group. This format provides an opportunity to explore a wider spectrum of subjects, both domestic and world-wide.
